...6 days ago lol
In the last 2 days alone i have covered 160 miles in my fathers E36 M3, and thats only 2/4 of the days ive been driving it. Ive literally driven just about every second i could this last week and i have now found all the back roads surrounding my home, its awesome!
What an amazing vehicle haha Ive been dreaming about driving it for my whole life, and it was great when i had my permit, but with my license i can really just roam around with it and really get acquainted
soon though, me and my uncle will finish my Fc Rx7, thats when the real fun begins lol

Congrats!
I damn near wrecked my Dad's E30 318i with FIVE passengers in it the very first day I took it out after getting my license.
Thank goodness I was driving a bimmer. My friend forgot to tell me when to turn right and remembered right as we were about to pass it. I stupidly yanked the wheel without first slowing down sufficiently. What did I know, I was 16 and it was the mid 90s!
Oversteer happened. Opposite lock happened. I didn't know what those things were but they happened! And luckily the car didn't bump up against anything else and nobody was hurt.

One thing I didn't mention cause I was too embarrassed. But f it I may as well admit to how dumb I was. Maybe it will help prevent someone from doing the same thing later cause they may not be lucky to get by without incident.
One of the passengers was in the trunk. I didn't want him in there. I was the first of my friends to get my license. And I succumbed to peer pressure when they wanted me to take everyone to my friend's house in one trip. Very dumb and never happened again.

Ahhh sarcasm at its finest. Simple misunderstanding, no offense taken. Have an Aston to consolidate our friendship.

Using sarcasm on the internet is hard, but Oppo is great. http://m.imgur.com/EUmmc?tags

yea, i really am very lucky.. my father will grumble every so often, but overall he seems fine with me driving it for the month or so that i need it..
what freaks me out is the 236,000 miles it has.. so that definitely keeps me from beating on it too much.. that being said.. i should probably cut down on beating on it a lot more lol

Awesome car!
looks like a 96-99 M3.... I'm gonna guess it's more likely to be a 97 or early 98
I used to have a silver one
I currently have a yellow one

Congratulations. Drive wisely, my friend. Think all actions through before committing
I wish you a long and fun driving career.

That's the best kind of friend to have ;)
When I was 16 girls were like alien creatures. I wanted to interact but couldn't.
It's (slightly) easier now, haha

id be the same way if it wasnt for this girl.. i slimmed down and grew up a little in freshman year and she scooped me up, ive basically been with her for 2 years now, though we kinda broke up in November, but we are basically back together now and that, combined with the license have made me so incredibly happy.
I now think that us driving down the road holding hands in between shifts will be one of my greatest memories from this period of my life.. hate to sound too sappy, or "emotional teen" but she really does mean a lot to me lol

lol thats awesome, but yea, its a 98 with a dinan CAI, a cat back and a chip and 236,000 miles. And now, a kid that likes to see 6500rpm every so often

lol no, but with all the talks of tax return money from him id be begging if i didnt already have an Fc Rx7..
You see, i got very lucky as my uncle owns a rotary shop and in like 05 bought a parts car that blew up and had been drifted into a pole, one day he decided he needed it off his property and gave it to me in like 2008.. i yanked the motor and took it apart and now it sits on a shelf in his engine building room
Me and him have been coming up with plans for it for years, but he hasnt had the time to devote to it (as im not really a paying customer) but now my motor is next in line and my car is going there in the next week or so
I have already bought a Microtech computer, Bc coilovers, wheels and tires, a clutch, a racing beat exhaust and a very special 4.33 rear with lsd. Now we need to combine all the parts, in a very nice way, do the body work (i have my way to get around the dent) and paint it. the car should be done in a month or 2, i cant wait
though.. id really love to own that E36 lol, maybe someday

That is awesome!
Your car sounds like a hoot
Be careful with it. Probably way more power than I had at your age, lol

lol 200 is the goal, which is less than the E36 has (chip, cat back, CAI) and less weight, which makes it easier to deal with if shit ever goes wrong.. so i should be ok.. of course all of us kids screw up, so it really doesnt matter that much lol
![]() 02/10/2014 at 00:31 |

I'm sure you will be ok because you care about cars and pay attention to what you're doing. I never made a mistake again like the one I did that first day. I started paying attention.
And I've never caused an accident in 19 years of driving. I got hit once but that was it.

Congrats dude. Just be careful. I sure as hell couldn't have handled such a fine piece of machinery when I was 16.
